SURERIDE TERMS OF SERVICE & CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE
Last Updated: 10 July 2026
These Terms of Service and Conditions of Carriage (“Terms”) govern all bookings, transportation services and related services provided by SureRide Pte. Ltd., trading as SureRide (“SureRide”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By making a booking, using our website, application, booking service or transportation services, or travelling in a vehicle arranged or provided by SureRide, you (“Passenger”, “Customer”, “you” or “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
If you make a booking on behalf of another passenger or group of passengers, you are responsible for bringing these Terms to their attention and ensuring, to the extent reasonably possible, that they comply with them.
1. Our Services
SureRide provides or arranges pre-booked chauffeured passenger transportation and limousine services in Singapore and, where applicable, other permitted locations.
Services may include:
- Airport arrivals and departures;
- Point-to-point transfers;
- Hourly or disposal bookings;
- Corporate transportation;
- Event transportation;
- Chauffeured limousine services; and
- Other transportation services agreed between SureRide and the Customer.
A booking is subject to vehicle and driver availability and is not guaranteed until accepted or confirmed by SureRide.
2. Conditions of Carriage
Passengers must behave in a safe, lawful and reasonable manner while using SureRide services.
Passengers must:
- Follow all reasonable safety instructions given by the driver;
- Comply with applicable Singapore laws and regulations;
- Wear seat belts where required;
- Ensure children use legally required child restraints or booster seats;
- Not interfere with the driver or the safe operation of the vehicle;
- Not damage, soil or misuse the vehicle;
- Not smoke or vape in the vehicle;
- Not carry illegal, dangerous or prohibited items;
- Not engage in abusive, threatening, violent or unlawful behaviour; and
- Respect the driver, other passengers and SureRide personnel.
SureRide or its driver may refuse to commence or continue a journey where there are reasonable grounds to believe that carrying a passenger would be unlawful, unsafe, materially disruptive, or pose a risk to the driver, vehicle, passenger or another person.
Where a journey is terminated because of serious passenger misconduct, SureRide reserves the right to charge the Customer for services already provided and reasonable costs incurred, subject to applicable law.
3. Passenger Capacity
The number of passengers must not exceed the lawful or designated seating capacity of the booked vehicle.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate passenger numbers when making a booking.
SureRide may refuse to carry additional passengers where doing so would:
- Exceed the vehicle’s permitted capacity;
- Breach applicable law;
- Compromise passenger safety; or
- Exceed the reasonable luggage capacity of the vehicle.
Where the booked vehicle cannot legally or safely accommodate the number of passengers or amount of luggage presented, an alternative or additional vehicle may be required and additional charges may apply.
4. Children and Child Restraints
Passengers travelling with infants or children must notify SureRide when booking if a child restraint, booster seat or other safety equipment may be required.
Child passengers must be transported in accordance with applicable Singapore road traffic and private hire vehicle requirements.
The Customer is responsible for providing accurate information concerning the number, age and, where relevant, size or height of children travelling.
SureRide may refuse transportation where carrying a child would breach applicable safety requirements.
5. Luggage
Standard passenger luggage will be carried where it can be safely accommodated within the booked vehicle.
Customers must notify SureRide in advance of unusually large or excessive luggage, including:
- Oversized suitcases;
- Sporting equipment;
- Golf bags;
- Bicycles;
- Musical instruments;
- Mobility equipment; or
- Other oversized items.
SureRide does not guarantee that luggage exceeding the normal capacity of the booked vehicle can be carried.
Drivers may refuse to carry luggage or items that are unsafe, unlawful, excessively heavy, likely to damage the vehicle, or cannot be safely secured.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, passengers remain responsible for their personal belongings and luggage at all times.
6. Lost or Forgotten Property
Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have collected all personal belongings before leaving a vehicle.
SureRide is not responsible for items lost, forgotten, misplaced, stolen or left inside a vehicle, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
If an item is located, SureRide will make reasonable efforts to assist with its return.
The Customer may be required to pay reasonable delivery, courier, driver, administrative or other costs associated with returning lost property.
SureRide does not guarantee that lost property will be recovered.
7. Compliance with Singapore Private Hire Laws
SureRide intends to operate its Singapore transportation services in accordance with applicable Singapore laws and regulations governing chauffeured private hire cars and point-to-point passenger transportation.
Where required by law:
- Vehicles used to provide services will be appropriately registered or licensed for their intended use;
- Drivers will hold the required Singapore driving and vocational licences;
- Vehicles will comply with applicable Land Transport Authority (“LTA”) requirements; and
- Drivers and vehicles will comply with applicable private hire vehicle, road traffic and safety requirements.
Nothing in these Terms authorises a driver or passenger to act contrary to Singapore law.
8. Driver and Vehicle Insurance
SureRide requires vehicles and drivers providing services on its behalf to maintain insurance required under applicable Singapore laws and regulatory requirements for the services being provided.
Insurance coverage remains subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions and limits of the applicable insurance policy.
Nothing in these Terms represents that insurance will cover every type of loss, damage, injury or claim.
9. Bookings and Customer Information
Customers must provide accurate information when making a booking, including where applicable:
- Passenger name;
- Contact details;
- Pick-up location;
- Destination;
- Date and time;
- Flight information;
- Passenger numbers;
- Luggage requirements;
- Child restraint requirements; and
- Relevant special requests.
SureRide is not responsible for delays, missed journeys or additional costs arising from materially incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the Customer, except where caused by SureRide’s own act or omission.
10. Pick-Up Times, Flights and Delays
SureRide will use reasonable efforts to provide services at the confirmed time.
Pick-up and journey times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside SureRide’s reasonable control, including:
- Traffic congestion;
- Road closures;
- Accidents;
- Weather;
- Security incidents;
- Government restrictions;
- Airport congestion;
- Flight delays;
- Immigration and customs processing;
- Vehicle breakdowns; and
- Other unforeseen events.
Customers remain responsible for allowing sufficient travel time for flights, appointments, meetings and other time-sensitive commitments.
Where flight monitoring is provided, it is intended as a convenience and does not guarantee that all flight changes or delays will be identified.
11. Waiting Time
Bookings may include a specified complimentary waiting period.
Additional waiting time may be charged at SureRide’s prevailing rates or at the rate disclosed when the booking is made.
For airport transfers, waiting time may be calculated from the agreed collection time, scheduled arrival time, actual arrival time or another time specified in the booking confirmation.
Any applicable waiting-time arrangements communicated in the booking confirmation will form part of the booking.
12. Cancellations and Refunds
Unless a different cancellation policy is clearly disclosed and accepted for a particular booking, where a booking is cancelled and qualifies for cancellation under SureRide’s applicable cancellation policy, SureRide will refund the full amount received by SureRide for the cancelled transportation service.
Where a booking was made through a third-party platform, travel agent, payment provider, booking intermediary, reseller or other intermediary, the amount ultimately received by the Customer may differ from the amount refunded by SureRide.
This may occur because an intermediary has charged:
- Booking fees;
- Service fees;
- Payment processing fees;
- Commissions;
- Foreign exchange charges;
- Administrative fees; or
- Other third-party charges.
SureRide is not responsible for fees retained or separately charged by independent intermediaries.
Where payment was made through an intermediary, the Customer may also be required to obtain the refund through that intermediary.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the bank, card issuer, payment processor or intermediary.
13. No-Show
A Customer may be treated as a “no-show” where the passenger cannot be located or contacted within the applicable waiting period.
SureRide or the driver will make reasonable efforts to contact the passenger using the contact details provided with the booking.
Additional waiting charges or other reasonable charges may apply to no-shows where disclosed as part of the booking.
14. Pricing
Prices may be calculated using factors including:
- Vehicle type;
- Distance;
- Duration;
- Pick-up and destination;
- Waiting time;
- Tolls and parking;
- Airport charges;
- Additional stops;
- Peak periods;
- Special events;
- Driver or vehicle requirements;
- Taxes and government charges; and
- Other booking requirements.
SureRide reserves the right to change its prices, pricing methodology, surcharges and fees at any time.
A pricing change will not ordinarily alter the confirmed base price of an existing booking unless the Customer requests a material change to the booking, additional charges arise under the agreed booking terms, or the change is required by law.
15. Currency and Foreign Exchange
Unless otherwise stated, prices for Singapore services are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD).
Where SureRide displays, quotes, charges or refunds an amount in another currency, SureRide may determine the applicable currency conversion rate using a commercially reasonable exchange rate or rate provided by its payment provider.
Exchange rates may differ from rates published by banks, card issuers, search engines or foreign exchange services.
To the extent permitted by law, SureRide’s determination of the applicable conversion rate for transactions processed by SureRide will be final.
SureRide is not responsible for foreign exchange fees, dynamic currency conversion fees or other charges imposed independently by a Customer’s bank, card issuer or payment provider.
16. Vehicle Substitution
SureRide may substitute a booked vehicle where reasonably necessary because of operational requirements, breakdown, maintenance, availability, safety or other circumstances.
Where practicable, the replacement vehicle will provide a reasonably comparable level of capacity and service.
Specific vehicle makes, models, colours, registration numbers or other characteristics are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed as a material condition of the booking.
17. Third-Party Drivers and Service Providers
SureRide may use employees, contractors, affiliated operators or other appropriately authorised transportation providers to fulfil bookings.
Where a third party provides transportation on behalf of SureRide, the service remains subject to applicable regulatory, licensing and safety requirements.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship between a Customer and any driver.
18. Damage and Cleaning
Passengers must take reasonable care of vehicles.
The Customer may be responsible for reasonable cleaning, repair or remediation costs resulting from deliberate or negligent damage, excessive soiling or contamination caused by the Customer or passengers travelling under their booking.
This may include damage or cleaning arising from:
- Food or drink spills;
- Vomiting;
- Smoking;
- Damage to seats or fittings;
- Excessive staining; or
- Damage to vehicle equipment.
Any charge must be reasonable and reflect the costs incurred or reasonably expected to be incurred by SureRide or the vehicle operator.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, SureRide will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or economic loss arising from the use of its services.
This may include loss arising from:
- Missed flights;
- Missed appointments;
- Missed meetings;
- Loss of business;
- Loss of profits;
- Loss of opportunity;
- Travel disruption; or
- Events outside SureRide’s reasonable control.
SureRide will not be responsible for loss or damage caused by third parties, passenger conduct, incorrect information supplied by the Customer, traffic conditions, government action, severe weather or other circumstances outside SureRide’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or limited under Singapore law.
20. Personal Injury and Property Damage
SureRide does not accept responsibility for personal injury, property damage or other losses except where liability arises under applicable law and cannot lawfully be excluded.
Passengers are responsible for following reasonable safety instructions and taking reasonable care while entering, travelling in and exiting vehicles.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights a passenger may have under applicable Singapore law or applicable motor vehicle insurance arrangements.
21. Force Majeure
SureRide will not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
Such events may include:
- Natural disasters;
- Floods or severe weather;
- Epidemics or public health emergencies;
- War or terrorism;
- Civil unrest;
- Government restrictions;
- Road closures;
- Major accidents;
- Transport disruptions;
- Telecommunications failures;
- Power failures; or
- Other comparable events outside SureRide’s reasonable control.
SureRide will use reasonable efforts to minimise disruption where practicable.
22. Personal Data and Privacy
Personal data collected in connection with SureRide services will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Singapore data protection laws.
Personal data may be processed where reasonably necessary to:
- Process bookings;
- Provide transportation services;
- Contact passengers;
- Process payments and refunds;
- Manage customer support;
- Meet legal or regulatory requirements;
- Prevent fraud or misuse; and
- Maintain safety and security.
Customers should review SureRide’s Privacy Policy for further information regarding how personal data is collected, used, disclosed, stored and protected.
23. Website, Systems and Availability
SureRide does not guarantee that its website, booking system, application, payment services or communications systems will operate continuously or without error.
SureRide may suspend or modify its systems for maintenance, security, upgrades or other operational reasons.
SureRide is not responsible for losses caused solely by failures of third-party telecommunications, banking, payment, mapping or technology providers outside its reasonable control.
24. Intellectual Property and Reservation of Rights
All rights in SureRide’s business, website, branding, trademarks, logos, software, booking systems, content and other intellectual property are reserved by SureRide or their respective owners.
No Customer or Driver receives any licence or right to use SureRide intellectual property except as strictly necessary to access and use SureRide services for their intended purpose.
All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved.
25. Changes to Services, Pricing and Terms
SureRide reserves the right to modify:
- These Terms;
- Its services;
- Pricing;
- Fees;
- Policies;
- Payment methods;
- Vehicle categories; and
- Operational procedures,
from time to time.
Updated Terms may be published on the SureRide website and will take effect from the date specified.
Unless required by law or agreed with the Customer, changes to these Terms will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued in relation to a completed transaction.
Continued use of SureRide services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
26. Governing Law
These Terms, all bookings made with SureRide and any dispute or claim arising from or relating to SureRide’s services will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that apply under applicable law.
27. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Customers should first contact SureRide and provide a reasonable opportunity for the parties to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith.
Subject to any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including any question concerning their existence, validity or termination, that cannot be resolved between the parties shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”) in accordance with the SIAC Rules in force when the arbitration is commenced.
The tribunal shall consist of one (1) arbitrator.
The seat of arbitration shall be Singapore.
The language of arbitration shall be English.
The arbitration award shall be final and binding on the parties, subject to applicable law.
28. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will, to the extent possible, be interpreted or modified to give effect to its intended purpose.
If that is not possible, the affected provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
29. No Waiver
A failure or delay by SureRide to exercise a right or remedy under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
Any waiver must be expressly made by SureRide.
30. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the applicable booking confirmation, Privacy Policy and any additional conditions expressly agreed for a booking, constitute the agreement governing the relevant transportation service.
Where specific terms in a booking confirmation conflict with these general Terms, the specific booking terms will prevail in relation to that booking to the extent of the inconsistency.
31. Third-Party Rights
Except where expressly stated otherwise, a person who is not a party to the relevant agreement has no right to enforce these Terms, subject to applicable Singapore law.
32. Contact
Questions, complaints, refund requests or other enquiries concerning these Terms or a SureRide booking should be submitted using the contact information published on the SureRide website.
By booking or using SureRide’s services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Service and Conditions of Carriage.
